NAJIB AND MUHYIDDIN SHOULD SYNCHRONIZE WELL !!!

Barisan Nasional needs to synchronise its act given the political scenario at present is very volatile and precarious.

The oppositions are in an all out ‘war’ to tear apart the ruling coalition and bury the BN in history and the BN, on the other hand, particularly chief Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is fighting ‘tooth and nail’ to win back lost ground and influence.

The political war is no small matter as this 13th general election is a matter of ‘life and death’ for both sides of the political divide.

However, recent acts or speeches or comments by Najib and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin have given rise to various interpretations, not only among the opposition members and the general public, worse is within UMNO itself.

Najib had said many times the general election would be called anytime when the ruling coalition was ready, which means anytime from now until March next year.

However, last week Deputy Umno president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the election could be held anytime even during the fasting month as he planned to meet ‘troubled’ Umno divisions during the fasting month to solve all matters.

When he mentioned ‘troubled Umno divisions’, the beans are spilled as all this while, the oppositions and public at large have only heard among disgruntled party members over the selection of candidates.

It is normal during every election that UMNO faces such problem but this time around, the problem is more acute as many party members, particularly the incumbent state and parliament representatives felt they are the winning candidates.

Changes would create resentment and the chain reaction will be boycott during campaigns and so on as mentioned by Najib himself.

The contradictory statements by the two top leaders have opened up several interpretations which reflects weaknesses in UMNO, the backbone of BN that is being seen as the only party that is strong enough to take on the ‘charging enemy’.

First, many opposition leaders are now relief as they know now UMNO is having problems and as such, they do not expect the general election to be held ealier or before the party general assembly.

Muhyiddin’s statement to them was like a God’s sent message, don’t worry, just continue spilling the beans out of the sack as the general election will not be held any much earlier.

In short, the oppositions can continue spin and raise issues while at the same time, dig up more dirts among the BN leaders, particularly the Cabinet members.

Secondly among UMNO members, who have already read the ‘so-called underlying message’ as though there is a friction, are now weighing the chances of another challenge in the coming party election.

Given such scenario, it is best that Najib and Muhyiddin synchronise their acts so that their statements and comments would be of same contents no matter how the people try to interpret them as this will reflect unity and one force.
