Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) is targeting the National Youth Day 2012 to be held on 23rd to May 27th will come as one of the 10 largest annual carnival in the world.
According to the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Dato 'Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said he is confident that KBS will to achieve it in conjunction with the Millions of Youth Assembly 2012 of organizing over 500 events and able to attract local and international visitors.
He added that this carnival is the largest in Asia and 10th largest in the world.
But we want to see in terms of an international assessment at a later date so that foreign tourists will come to Kuala Lumpur every year to see diversity in art, culture, activities and community life of Malaysia.
He said this at the Council meeting Minister of Youth and Sports with representatives of the Malaysian Association of Hotels National Youth Day 2012 (HBN2012).
Hence, he requested the Ministry of Tourism and hotel association representative role to promote and create special packages to attract local tourists and foreign tourists coming to Putrajaya in conjunction with HBN 2012.
